Today's Lower body workout was very simple but effective. In order to increase explosive power, you have to train explosive. Building muscle can result in more speed and power, but without dynamic strength movements, it will be very difficult to maximize your results.

Today's workout was very simple.
The goal was to incorporate compound movements along with traditional lower body exercises.

Another one in the books. A very good dynamic training program with very little equipment.

Today's workout was perfect for a Monday. Keeping each exercise dynamic and wearing the weighted vest was enough to increase the intensity and get a good sweat.
It's been a while since I've utilized the TRX Straps, but I can say they are as good as I remember. Today I kept it basic on the TRX, but I will be coming back soon with a complete TRX program.
But, for today it was a very good addition to the workout.
So after watching try it!
Athlete Performance Training: Posterior Chain | Glute | Lateral ResistanceToday's Training Program was designed to focus on the posterior chain, glute/ ham, and lateral power/stability.
Today I started with Walking Sled Push with "over-exaggeration" on the triple extension. This is great for athletes of all sports. For maximum velocity full extension is key. This exercise also increases force at ground contact which is also key.
Secondly, we moved to Glute Ham Raise. But notice the angle/relationship between my shin and quad. This angle will help to target the glute-hamstring connection. Also great for maximum velocity.
Following GHR it was time for Kettlebell Single Leg RDL. Very good exercise for posterior chain focus along with balance and stabilization.
Next, is one of my favorite exercises. Band Lateral Power Steps. Focus on maintaining an athletic stance while being very aggressive and intentional with each step and replace!
Once the program is complete, transition to recovery. Being an elite athlete or elite entrepreneur requires you to stay healthy. So don't neglect what could be the most important part of the program!

While on a business trip in CA, I still had to get some work in. Most of the gyms are still closed, even the small one in my hotel. So I had to be creative and make it work!
Today's workout was about 50min and was perfect for keeping me on track.
The warm-up was 1/2 mile jog to get blood flow before going into the exercises in the video and I finished with a 1/2 mile jog cool down.
Simple and effective! No Excuses!!!
